PARKING
Right on the shoreline near the Victoria Point jetty and boat ramp, some parking places are usually available, but check the signs!
You don't want to discover later that you day on Coochie comes with a hefty parking fine... Some places are reserved for boaties with trailers, or have strictly-monitored time limits.
On busy days, park in a designated spaces in the 'top' car park within the tree-filled park at the end of Colburn Avenue, or along Colburn Avenue itself.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT - only $ 0.50 to get you right to the jetty! Bus services arriving and departing from Victoria Point jetty are the 270, 279 and 274. Plan your journey with Brisbane's TransLink service via the online tools or app.

PASSENGER FERRY -
Amity Trader's Ferries run every 30 minutes all day, every day, from early morning to late in the evening. Tickets are sold on board. The $0.50 cent price applies, but Not connected with any previous journey on the Translink network, GoCards are not currently accepted (as of Dec2025)

CAR BARGE
Bookings are essential. Call Amity Trader on (07) 3820 6557 during office hours (8.00am-4.00pm Mon to Fri) to secure your car space on the barge. Ask about the special offers for return trips on certain days.
MOBILE PHONE COVERAGE
Coochie has its own tower! Depending on your network and device, most people have good to great reception (3G/4G) on the island and in the surrounding waters.
BOATIES
No public mooring spaces are available at Coochiemudlo Island, but smaller boats can beach or anchor anytime. Please respect others enjoying the water and the beaches, all wildlife and the ferry and barge operations.
EMERGENCY SERVICES
Visitors and residents of Coochiemudlo contact 000 for emergencies only, and, if available, island first responders will come for first aide and assistance.
